CARNet Signs Financing Contract on Bilateral Activities from Financial Mechanisms of Kingdom of Norway and European Economic Area (EEA)

On Wednesday, 27 July 2016, at the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds eight contracts were signed with a total value of 281,978 Euro for the financing of bilateral activities from the financial mechanisms of the Kingdom of Norway and the European Economic Area (EEA).

These mechanisms aim to contribute to the reduction of social and economic inequalities within the European Economic Area and to simultaneously strengthen bilateral cooperation between donor countries (Kingdom of Norway, Iceland and the Principality of Liechtenstein) and beneficiary countries, which include Croatia.

CARNet signed a contract in the amount of 23,311 Euro for a project entitled ICT Knowledge Exchange. The project will continue the long-term cooperation between CARNet and the eminent Norwegian University for Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim in the field of education and application of educational technology.

In addition to CARNet, the contracts were signed by the City of Kutina, the Croatian Metrology Institute, the Croatian Journalists Association, Innovation Norway, the Ministry of Labour and Pension System, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Koprivnica-Križevci County.
