Winners of the CMS competition "Spruce up the web 2010" pronounced

On 10thNovember 2010, winners of the "Spruce up the web" CMS competition were pronounced. The competition was intended for all primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Croatia which created their own web pages by using CARNet CMS system.

This year, 88 schools participated in the competition, in two categories: seniors and juniors.

In the senior category, the winners were:

1. place – Slavka Kolara Elementary School, Hercegovac – (prize: iMac desktop, Logitech Webcam C200, Stereo Headset H110, WD Elements external hard drive)

2. place – Popovac Elementary School, Popovac – (prize: Panasonic HDC-TM20EP-K video camera, Olympus T-100 camera, Olympus VN-8600PC digital voice recorder)

3. place – Kneza Mislava Elementary School, Kaštel SuŠurac – (prize: BenQ MP515 projector, Projecta Proview portable projection screen).

In the junior category, the winner was:

1. place – Drenje Elementary School, Drenje – (prize: MacBook laptop, Logitech Webcam C200 web camera, Stereo Headset H110, WD Elements external hard drive).

Siemens IT Solutions and Services d.o.o. was the sponsor of this year's prizes.

In addition to the mentioned prizes, all winners will receive annual subscription to GEO magazine, as a gift from Adria Media Zagreb.

Pronouncement of the winners and the prize award ceremony will be held on 17thNovember 2010 at 7 p.m., on closing of the CARNet Users Conference – CUC, which is taking place in the City of Split.
