CARNet's new online courses

Mid April 2012 CARNet released two new online courses for self-supported learning entitled "Games in Moodle" and "Using Jing in Teaching and Learning". The "Games in Moodle" self-supported learning course has been designed for teachers in primary and secondary schools, but also for teachers in higher education institutions which are CARNet members, who want to make their online courses in Moodle more interesting to their students and increase their learning motivation by using games. The "Using Jing in Teaching and Learning" self-supported learning course has been designed for CARNet member institution teachers who wish to make computer use in classes easier for their students and otherwise improve the technology-aided classes by using screenshots and on-screen events. Courses are available to all CARNet users through the Moodle system at When they access the system, users can find these courses in the block entitled Priručnici. Please note that to access the courses it is necessary to have an electronic identity in the AAI@EduHr system.

Courses are also accessible to teachers who wish to hold them for their students through the CARNet service known as e.T. – e.Tečajevi (e.Courses) for application in classes. To open your own e. Course it is necessary to fill in the form at

For users who wish to implement the "Games in Moodle" and Jing in their classes, CARNet is preparing two workshops which will be held on Thursday, 3 May, in CARNet's premises at the address Ulica Josipa Marohnića 5 in Zagreb. The morning workshop starts at 9 a.m., and the afternoon one at 2 p.m.
