The CMS competition for schools - Spruce Up Your Web! 2012 - has begun

Fourth year in a row CARNet's Schools Portal in cooperation with CARNet Users Conference - CUC 2012 opens a competition to select the best and most useful school websites created in the CARNet CMS, a system developed and designed for school purposes. We once again invite all primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Croatia to join our competition and try to win valuable and useful prizes.

We would like to remind you that for participation you have to have a school website created in the CARNet CMS system, while to win a prize you will once again have to offer high-quality, up-to-date, useful and visually refined content.

Schools can participate in one of the three categories:

  • Primary schools
  • Secondary schools
  • The Sprucest Club (consisting only of last year's winners).

This year's task for schools members of The Sprucest Club is related to the International Year of Sustainable Energy for All, so this time it will be evaluated in which way these schools have contributed in observing this globally important subject. Materials published on their school websites have to be educational, and the subject treated in a multidisciplinary way.

Applications for the "Spruce Up Your Web! 2012" competition will be accepted from 2 May till 30 September 2012, and you can apply through the form on the website

As in all previous years, this time the winners will also be announced and presented their awards at the CARNet Users Conference - CUC 2012, which will be held in Rijeka from 12 to 14 November 2012.

Details regarding the competition, its rules and criteria can be found at
