CARNet, Croatian Academic and Research Network, is organising the 15th CARNet Users Conference CUC 2013, to be held from November 20 to 22, at Hotel AntunoviŠ in Zagreb. Under the title "Reach for Knowledge!", this year's programme offers 4 keynote lectures, 11 workshops, more than 30 peer-reviewed papers, a round table on the computerisation process of the educational system, along with several presentations of CARNet and its partners.

The main programme of the Conference is divided into six topics: Mobile Technology and Applications, Digital Competences, Trends in Instruction, Research and Information Technology, Content Creation and Sharing, and Educational Institutions in the New Environment. Furthermore, with 16 presentations and 2 workshops, the sys.trek section represents a special part of the conference programme designed for system engineers at CARNet member institutions.

Continuing the well-established tradition, this year CUC 2013 again provides its participants with the unique chance of attending the lectures of several globally renowned experts in the field of information and communications technology, education and science.

The Conference is traditionally accompanied by the Webfestival, a competition of Web content authors. The topic of this year's 14th Webfestival is mobile web.

CUC 2013 also includes the "Ready, Steady - Class!" competition, intended for all the teachers in the primary and secondary schools of the Republic of Croatia who create and use digital course materials in their teaching.

In addition, the CUC 2013 Conference will include several supporting events. Two BoF (Birds of a Feather) meetings will be organized pertaining to the topic of CARNet educational services and upgrades to the "e-Matica" service, along with presentations of the CARNet E-laboratories and the Safer Internet Centre, while successful examples of innovative teaching will be presented as part of the Innovative Teachers in Action programme. A special event dedicated to the Schools 2.0 project will also take place.

As in the previous years, the programme is once again enhanced with numerous presentations by CARNet, its partners and sponsors.
