Two new electronic books on the eLektire portal

Two new electronic books from the reading list for the national secondary school leaving examination have been published on the eLektire educational portal: Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther and Kafka's Metamorphosis. Secondary school leavers can now avoid the crowded libraries and tiring search for books from the reading lists for essays!

Thus, eight out of nine books required for the B-level and 11 out of 15 books required for the A-level of the examination are now available at eLektire! Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther has been translated by Milutin Cihlar Nehajev, the Croatian writer who is also included in the reading list.

The eLektire website contains approximately 300 complete works from the school reading list for elementary and secondary schools, expanded by works such as Homer's Iliad and Odyssey and the works of modern Croatian writers such as Sanja Pilić, Sanja Lovrenčić, Silvija Šesto and Zoran Pongrašić. After registration, books can be read and downloaded for free and are available in different formats: for printing, reading on the computer or on devices such as the tablet, smartphone and e-reader.

The eLektire project has been implemented since 2009 in cooperation with Bulaja naklada and CARNet.
