Free Office with 1 TB of storage space for all school children and school teachers in primary and secondary schools!

On 19 December 2014, the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports has announced the service of free Office 365 use and installation for all school children and school teachers in primary and secondary schools in Croatia. This is a result of cooperation of the Ministry with the Croatian Academic and Research Network - CARNet and Microsoft Hrvatska.

This enables free access to Office 365 tools to all school children and school teachers in primary and secondary schools, which they can realise by using their electronic identity within the AAI@EduHr system. In addition to being able to access the Office 365 cloud services, all school children and school teachers are allowed to install the Office 365 Pro Plus tool on five computers and five mobile devices (tablets, smartphones).

Microsoft Office 365 tools will facilitate the communication between school children and school teachers and enable distribution of teaching and learning materials, thereby improving the effectiveness of the learning process. The tools include the following: access to e-mail with 50 GB of storage space, access to OneDrive cloud storage with 1 TB of storage space per user, Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), Yammer social network, as well as Lync, which enables audio and video conference calls and messaging. Users can log in with their data at https://office365.skole.hr which grants them access to all Office 365 tools and applications. For customer support, students and teachers can send an e-mail to CARNet's helpdesk at helpdesk@carnet.hr.

This new project has been presented at the press conference by Mr. Vedran Mornar, Minister of Science, Education and Sports, Mrs. Branka Vuk, Deputy CEO for Education Support at CARNet and Mr. Ivan VidakoviŠ, CEO of Microsoft Hrvatska.
