European Commission Rated the GÉANT Project as "Excellent"

The Project GÉANT3plus, carried out by an international pan-European consortium, of which the Croatian Academic and Research Network CARNet is a full member, was successfully completed on 31 May 2015. After the presentation of the project and its review by an independent panel of experts tasked with assessing the projects by the European Commission, the project has been rated for the fourth consecutive time with the highest assessment - "Excellent".

Just like in previous generations of the GÉANT project, CARNet has contributed greatly to the development of the most advanced European computer and communication infrastructure and its related services through its human resources. They have been participating in the project from its beginnings, when the Republic of Croatia was not even an EU member state yet.

The European Union supports and co-finances the project with more than 40 million Euro as part of the 7th European Union Framework Programme (FP7), and the total value of the project exceeds 80 million Euro.
