Proleksis Encyclopedia at http://enciklopedija.carnet.hr is the first Croatian general and national online encyclopedia, that is, one that is published in Croatian, conceived and edited according to its own lexicographic principles, within its own referencing system. This is a classic encyclopedia with regard to its form and strict design, but its communication possibilities make it also a modern electronic encyclopedia; it is open, but nevertheless subject to editorial supervision.

The Encyclopedia currently contains more than 62 000 articles (including articles within compound entries) and more than 17 000 illustrations.

Access to the Proleksis Encyclopedia has been enabled to all CARNet users via their electronic identity in the AAI@EduHr system.

Proleksis Encyclopedia - the first Croatian general and national online encyclopedia, is a result of cooperation between the Croatian Academic and Research Network - CARNet, and the company Pro Leksis d.o.o., with the support of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports.
