With regard to the growing need for better CARNet network coverage, broadband access via cable television network infrastructure became a necessity. The mentioned technology enables users to connect to CARNet network, i.e. to use access via cable television line, provided there is one.

By using cable network access technology, in cooperation with OKTV, CARNet offers its users an alternative method of individual access to CARNet network, thus expanding its set of services for provision of access to CARNet network.

OKCARNet service is based on technology of broadband access to CARNet network via cable modem, by using one of OKTV data tariff models and cable modems which can be obtained by activation of a service in one of OKTV centres.
