links to 1601 institutions connected to CARNET network at 1571 locations continued to be established and maintained, including: 165 academic community institutions connected to 280 locations, 28 institutions from the healthcare system connected to 25 locations, 21 other full member institutions connected to 36 locations and 1366 institutions from the education system connected to 1193 locations


150 schools switched to or opened their web pages in CARNET CMS (Content Management System), so the number of schools using CMS exceeded 660


content filtering was established for more than 550,000 students who accessed the Internet from primary and secondary schools

a new Internet access service XCARNET was launched, which allowed individual broadband access to CARNET network via cable television infrastructure

CARNET Portal for Schools for teachers, students, their parents and schools was launched

fourteen commercial and non-commercial Internet service providers in the Republic of Croatia signed “Memorandum on Establishing a Joint Working Group of Abuse Services of Croatian Internet service providers”

CARNET network increased IP connection capacity to pan-European GÉANT2 network from 2.5 Gbit/s to 10 Gbit/s and for the first time introduced the ability of international gigabit connections for point-to-point services
