Ivica Puljak at the final event of the ISE project: \u201cWhy and How Do We Explore Space?\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After three years in which teachers were offered a large number of activities \u2013 workshops, webinars, live and online collaboration, and conducting experiments, the Inspiring Science Education (ISE) project has concluded. The main goal of the project was the popularization of science and the use of technology in teaching, as well as increasing students' interest in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To appropriately mark the end of the project, CARNet is organizing a closing event which will be held on October 14, 2016, from 11 AM to 3 PM at CARNet premises located at Josipa Marohni\u0107a 5 (Zagreb). Therefore, we invite all interested teachers to register their participation at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.carnet.hr\/en\/ise\/prijava\/\">http:\/\/www.carnet.hr\/ise\/prijava<\/a>. Applications are possible until Sunday, October 9th, at the latest, and the number of participants is limited to 35. All interested parties who are unable to register will have the opportunity to watch the live broadcast at <a href=\"https:\/\/meduza.carnet.hr\/index.php\/media\/stream\/11411\">https:\/\/meduza.carnet.hr\/index.php\/media\/stream\/11411<\/a>&nbsp;or to watch a recording of the events that will be published later. No registration is required for live streaming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Teachers who apply to participate will certainly be particularly interested in best practice examples, as they will be presented by some of the prominent teachers who participated in ISE activities and who face similar challenges and strive for similar successes. A teacher's perspective is very specific and transferable, so best practice examples will serve to give participants ideas and broaden their horizons, encourage them to follow their example and implement something similar in their own classroom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prof. Dr. Sc. Ivica Puljak, who knows very well how to popularize science and the STEM field, will give a lecture to the attendees on the topic \u201cWhy and How Do We Explore the Universe?\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Croatian Academic and Research Network - CARNet implemented the ISE project from March 1, 2013, to July 31, 2016, in the role of national coordinator. A total of 30 partners from 15 European countries participated in the project, with the goal of involving 5,000 schools at the European level, of which 313 were in Croatia.
