CARNET Medusa  is a service for distribution of multi-media content intended for educational and academic institutions and individual users of CARNET member institutions.

CARNET Medusa

The effective introduction of the use of ICT in the work and everyday life implies the use of ICT at all levels of education. However, due to realistic financial and time constraints, attending teachers’ education to other places is not often feasible or requires breaks in regular tuition. By implementing a platform for distributing multi-media content, education is enabled remotely, with equal access to all users in the workplace or from own home at any time of the day.

The service Medusa is named after the Greek word medomai (μεδομαι) = “to plan,” “to devise”, “to find”, encompassing the purpose of the service: plan, devise, and find a way to overcome the barriers that appear in the distribution of information.

CARNET Medusa is available to users as a source of knowledge, information and educational content. Using Medusa is completely free and available from all over the world. However, for users to view protected video in the system (for example, Baltazar portal content), it is necessary to have a user account in AAI@EduHr system. The system has been developed to make it accessible to users; it has minimalist design with simple, intuitive icons.
