Edutorij

Edutorij offers users a multitude of possibilities for exchanging knowledge and content, allowing all registered users to:

• publish and share your own digital educational content
• search all available digital educational content in several ways: using a simple search engine, through advanced search, or through the structure of the current curriculum or subject curriculum down to the level of educational outcomes
• access digital educational content and download it in accordance with the applicable license
• create your own material collections and join other users' collections
• evaluate and comment on content
• recommend digital educational content.

Part of the Edutorij functionality is available to users without logging in, so unregistered users can:

• search repository
• get search results
• choose a material of your choice and view its metadata
• download materials that have fully open status and those that are in other systems and available for download.

Edutorij offers several useful features exclusively for teachers:

• expert evaluation of materials published by subject colleagues
• creating teacher's lesson plans.

In Edutorij, you can find various types of digital educational content: manuals, textbooks, books, required readings, workbooks, problem collections, atlases, online Courses, educational games, learning scenarios and lesson preparation, lectures and scripts, final and seminar papers, educational modules, conference proceedings, journals, and all other content related to education and curricula.

All educational materials in Edutorij are linked to the subject or interdisciplinary theme for which they are intended, and it is possible to find all subjects and interdisciplinary themes for primary schools, general education subjects in secondary schools, vocational fields, art schools, and higher education institutions. Materials can also be linked to the theme “lifelong learning,“ or to one of the informational and documentary themes. 

As particularly important content of Edutorij, one should highlight those that originated in the e-Schools project: Digital educational content (DOS) and Teaching scenarios.

For easier and simpler searching, all materials stored in Edutorij are described by metadata based on Learning Object Metadata standard developed by the organization Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE Standards Association). This is a standard for describing learning objects and other similar resources used in learning and teaching, for the purpose of facilitating their discovery and enabling optimal interoperability.

The primary users of Edutorij are teachers in Croatian primary and secondary schools, but the system is also intended for their students, staff of higher education institutions and public scientific institutes, and others who possess a valid electronic identity in the AAI@EduHr system.

Citizens who are not necessarily members of the academic community also have the right to use Edutorij, but they must first register via online registration form using your OIB. The registration form is available here, after registration, users log in to Edutorij.
