The Dabar @ucitelji.hr 2025 competition has concluded, which was held this year on the Loomen system.

The tenth edition of the popular Dabar @ucitelji.hr 2025 competition has been successfully concluded. This year, 48,036 elementary and high school students from all over Croatia participated in the computational thinking challenge. The competition took place from November 10th to 14th, and it is traditionally held on CARNET's e-learning system. Competition loom.

The Dabar competition encourages the development of logical and algorithmic thinking and is organized by "Suradnici u učenju" with the support of the Croatian Association of Informatics, Algebra University College, and CARNET, under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Education.

Participants solved 12 challenging tasks in 40 minutes, and the average results by category were:

  • MicroDab: 5.14
  • MiliDabar: 5.64
  • Kilograms: 5.59
  • MegaDabar: 6.33
  • GigaDabar: 5.22
    (out of a possible 12 points)

Besides the students, teachers also had the opportunity to test their skills in the DabroTeacher 2025 competition, which was also held on the Loomen system a week before the student competition. 123 teachers participated, with an average score of 5.30 out of a possible 10 points, while three participants achieved the maximum score.

The most successfully solved task was „Bees”, with an accuracy of as much as 85 %, while the greatest challenge was the task „Best result in a row”, which was not solved by 69 % teachers.

The organizers would like to thank all participants and schools for their commitment, effort, and enthusiasm, and especially the mentors who encourage students to develop computational thinking. Dabar has once again shown that with the support of CARNET's Loomen system, digital learning and competitions can be educational, motivating, and fun at the same time.
