Public server
CARNET's public server a computer system used by a larger number of individuals, employed in different institutions, or employed in institutions outside the Ministry of Science and Education system, for personal, non-commercial needs, utilizing CARNET's online services and online information services, and other resources accessible via an electronic identity within the AAI@EduHr system.
Available Services for Individuals:
- AAI@EduHr – electronic identity
- e-mail - electronic address and space.
The Public Server also hosts numerous guest information services that contribute to the improvement of the information space of the Republic of Croatia. Such services are non-commercial in nature, and are opened for the needs of organizations, institutions, projects, or other interest entities or groups.
Available services for legal entities:
- CMS – network space in a unified system for all users (WordPress)
- e-mail aliases – defining e-mail aliases for users
- DNS - Domain Name System.
Users
How to become a user
Users of the Public Server service can be registered by registering on public server website. After completing the registration process, the application is sent to the relevant department for processing.
Requests submitted on weekdays will be processed within a maximum of 24 hours, and on weekends within 48 hours. Within the specified timeframe, the user will be notified via their selected contact method regarding registration, rejection, or incomplete information.

Oznakom oblika: mojlogin@public.hr koristi se prijavu na AAI@EduHr servise.
Email format: mojlogin@public.carnet.hr or Ime.Prezime@public.carnet.hr is the email name you get when opening a user account for individuals.
The password is the same for both tags.
AAI@EduHr is a system through which CARNET Public Server users access services outside the server itself – see list of various network services which is accessed via AAI@EduHr.
Access your personal record at network interface and click on "Change password" and follow the instructions.
The user account is valid for one year, after which it must be renewed via administrative portal.
CARNET offers Webmail service for all individual users of the Public Server (Scientists, e-Islands, Students abroad, and Others).
Access to the Webmail interface is possible via the following link: https://webmail.carnet.hr/
No homepage You are logging in with your full username, the same as for internet access (e.g., John Doe would enter jdoe@public.hr). Upon first use, you will receive an additional page with a server selection. Here, enter the shortened form of your username (e.g., jdoe, without the domain) and select "CARNET – public computer" as the server.

Contact forms are added in the WordPress admin under the "Contact" menu by clicking "Add New". You can name the form by clicking on the form's title, e.g., "Untitled," and typing the desired name, for instance, "contact." After processing the requested query, you need to select Settings --> Languages in the WordPress administration and add a new language.
As of March 15, 2015, WordPress comments are being replaced by Facebook comments.
To enable your own comments on Facebook, you need to log in to the WordPress administration, select Settings -> Facebook Comments To create an App ID, click on "Create an App to handle your comments." After entering the obtained App ID number from Facebook, to enable comments on posts, you need to check (enable) the "Singular Posts" option, or on "Pages" pages.
On certain posts/pages, if you don't want comments on Facebook, check the "Disable Facebook Comments" option at the bottom of the post/page editor.
One way to embed Google Maps with a desired location on your website is through iframe WordPress plugin.
After you have Google Maps Once you find the desired location on the page, select the gear icon in the bottom right corner, the "Share or embed maps" option, and then copy the link starting with "https" from the "Embed map" tab.
The provided link needs to be set up in WordPress as a post or page with iframe in addition, e.g.:
