CARNet, within the Erasmus+ Key Action 1: Learning Mobility for Individuals program, has signed a financial support grant agreement for a two-year project titled „Developing Digitally Mature Schools – Strengthening CARNet's Capacity in Research and Application of ICT in Teaching.“.
Erasmus+ is the largest European Union program in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport, aimed at promoting skills development, employability, and supporting the modernization of education, training, and youth systems. One of the three main objectives of the Erasmus+ program is to award funds to individuals for learning opportunities abroad, within or outside the EU.
Erasmus+ offers international mobility opportunities for individuals and international cooperation for organizations, but interested individuals apply through their institutions.
Within the project „Developing Digitally Mature Schools – Strengthening CARnet's Capacities in Research and Application of ICT in Education,“ four mobilities for CARnet employees have been approved for a total contract amount of EUR 8,467.00, which includes three structured courses and one job shadowing at an adult education organization. The project runs from December 31, 2015, to December 31, 2017, when the realization of the four mobilities and the dissemination of the project's outcomes and results are planned.
The target groups for CARNet's mobility project are primary and secondary school teachers in the Republic of Croatia, school principals and professional associates, and employees of public educational institutions whose competencies will be developed by the project participants after the mobility. By strengthening the capacities of the project participants and disseminating the project outcomes and results through a series of organized training sessions for the target group, one of the main goals of the Erasmus+ program will be achieved, which is to increase the number of adults in lifelong learning.
