April 4, 2016.

Based on Call for Expressions of Interest for the Establishment of Regional Education Centers As part of the project "e-Schools: Establishment of a System for the Development of Digitally Mature Schools (pilot project)” which was launched in January 2016 by the Croatian Academic and Research Network - CARNet, out of 72 applications, the following five schools were selected as future locations for ROCs:

  1. Trade Technical School Split
  2. Franjo Krežma Elementary School Osijek
  3. Gornja Vežica Elementary School Rijeka
  4. Vladimir Prelog School of Natural Sciences, Zagreb
  5. First Gymnasium Varaždin

Within the scope of the mentioned Regional Education Centers, the opening of which is expected in October this year, systematic education of educational and administrative staff will be conducted, which will contribute to strengthening their digital competence.

In addition, ROCs will serve for other types of education/programs organized by agencies/organizations responsible for fostering development and supporting the educational system in the Republic of Croatia, as well as for education/programs organized by the local community (e.g., for the unemployed, further education, retraining, etc.).

Each ROC will be equipped with 30 laptops and 30 tablets, a lecturer's computer with a camera and speakers, a touchscreen display, a video conferencing system, a learning management system, and carts for storing and charging tablets.

Projekt je sufinancirala Europska unija iz europskih strukturnih i investicijskih fondova.
