This year, the Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet, within the framework of the Inspiring Science Education project, supported the event "10 Days of Astronomy," which the astronomical society "Kumova Slama" organized for the seventh consecutive year.
The event took place from April 1st to April 10th, 2016, and the rich program of this year's astronomy days was dedicated to planet Earth, offering lectures, workshops, playrooms, meetings with renowned world scientists, a party under the stars, and many other interesting activities.
CARNet supported the event by live-streaming two lectures: "Did We 'Barely' Avoid a Predictable Ice Age?" by academician Vladimir Paar and "From the Earth to the Moon" by Professor Ante Radonić.
Here are the links to the lecture recordings:
Academician Vladimir Paar: "Did we 'narrowly' avoid a predictable ice age?"
