e-Diary workshops held for school administrators

May 16, 2017.

From May 11th to 15th, 2017, a total of six workshops were held at the Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet premises for e-Diary school administrators who will begin using the e-Diary for the first time from the 2017/2018 school year.

The aim of the workshops, which were attended by over 120 participants, was to familiarize administrators with the e-Diary service and application, and to train administrators for performing school administration tasks within the e-Diary. Through lectures and hands-on exercises, workshop participants had the opportunity to become acquainted with all the functionalities available to them in the system, and at the same time, they were preparing for further e-Diary training so they could transfer their acquired knowledge and experience to their fellow teachers in their schools.

e-Dnevnik is a web application for keeping electronic class registers, which in addition to all the functionalities of existing class registers also has additional functionalities enabled by the use of information and communication technology, such as automated notifications, alarms, and reminders. In the 2016/2017 school year, 256 new schools were included in the e-Dnevnik system, bringing the number of schools in Croatia using e-Dnevnik to 810.
