CARNet at Cloud Day Conference in Opatija

The EuroCloud Croatia organization, in cooperation with the International Convention on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics, is organizing the Cloud Day conference, featuring a diverse program of 15 lectures and the Trusted Digital Platform Croatia roundtable. CARNet representatives will actively participate in this conference.

The conference will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016, in the Congress Hall of the Grand Hotel Adriatic in Opatija. The Cloud Computing Day of the 39th International Convention on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics will feature answers to frequently asked questions and misconceptions in connection with data safety and privacy in Cloud technology.

The participants of the panel will be Dr. Tobias Höllwarth, President of EuroCloud Europe, Zlatan Car, Ph.D., Univesity of Rijeka Vice-Rector for ICT, Zvonimir Stanić, Chief Executive Officer of the Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet, Ivan Vidaković, Director of Microsoft Croatia, Boris Bauk, Director of the Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Croatia company and Draženko Kopljar, member of the PBZ Management Board in charge of the Information Technology and Operations Activity Group.

Along with renowned ICT experts, Cloud Day will also feature lectures by representatives of leading Croatian companies and the University, while the opening lecture of the conference, by the Trusted Digital Competence Platform Croatia, will be delivered by Dr. Tobias Höllwarth.

A lecture on the subject of “Cloud in EU Research Organizations” will be delivered by Mr. Branko Radojević, CARNet's Deputy CEO for Computer Infrastructure and Services, starting at 3 p.m.
