The Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet is launching a new competition, „A True Book for Knowledge,“ which will be held as part of the CARNet User Conference. This conference is part of the project „e-Schools: Establishing a System for the Development of Digitally Mature Schools (pilot project),“ funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Social Fund (ESF). The competition is intended for all teachers in primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Croatia, and its aim is to encourage excellence in the creation of digital teaching materials.
Therefore, all primary and secondary school teachers are invited to participate in the creation of digital teaching materials using CARNet's Libar tool, which allows for easy creation, publication, and use of digital content applicable in teaching. The goal of the digital teaching materials that teachers will create is to encourage the development of students„ competencies in individual subjects and students“ digital competencies. Thus, the digital teaching materials will focus on the topic of "Use of Information and Communication Technology." Authors of digital teaching materials who win one of the top three places will receive an award within CARNet User Conference CUC 2016 which is being held this year in Rovinj from November 9th to 11th, 2016.
Applications for the competition begin today, April 21, 2016, and end on September 23, 2016, when the Jury will begin evaluating the submitted applications.
