Increased mailbox capacity in the public cloud for @skole.hr addresses

CARNET provides users with a @skole.hr account with simple and free access to numerous Microsoft Office 365 i Google Workspace for Education tools, as well as receiving @skole.hr electronic mail in a public cloud.

In addition to ease of use, tools in public clouds also offer:

  • Unlimited, or rather, increased capacity for the @skole.hr email inbox
  • unlimited user personal disk capacity with the ability to store documents and photos, and access files from any device
  • The ability to share files and collaborate on documents with other teachers and students.
  • integration of user accounts with user profiles on student tablets or teacher laptops.

Users can activate their user account on both services, but to receive emails at the @skole.hr address, they can only choose an email inbox on one service. It is possible to set up additional forwarding of emails from the selected inbox to private email addresses.

To select email mailboxes in the public cloud and redirect emails from CARNET webmail to O365 or Google Workspace for Education, follow these instructions:

  1. Open CARNET webmail page Log in with your skole.hr user credentials.
  2. In the CARNET webmail interface, select Mail from the menu, then select the Office365 / Google Workspace for Education option.
  3. At the bottom of the page, you can see the public service status for the user account and for the question “Where do you want to receive new email?”, select Google Workspace for Education or O365 and save your selection. If the service is not visible, the activation process for that service was not completed correctly and you need to repeat the activation.
  4. After the system confirms that forwarding the email has been successfully completed, you will receive new emails in your user mailbox in the selected public cloud.
  5. After successfully forwarding your email, log out of CARNET webmail.
