Call for applications to the Learning from the Extremes project competition

September 12, 2022.

We remind all rural schools that applications for the project call are still open. Learning from the Extremes.

The Learning from the Extremes project is a set of preparatory actions aimed at reducing the inequality of access to the internet, digital devices, tools, and content faced by school communities in rural and remote areas of European Union member states. The main goal of the project is to finance school projects through which schools will be able to acquire digital devices, educate teachers, and ensure access to various digital content and tools. CARNET, as the national coordinator of this project, invites you to design and submit your school's digital maturity development projects. Perhaps you have considered ways to create various models in chemistry or biology classes using a 3D printer, or the application of digital measuring devices in physics classes? Have you wanted to try the flipped classroom method? Or is this an opportunity to realize the idea of elective robotics classes? Apply, surprise us with your original ideas, and bring them to life with your students!

Teachers from schools selected to participate in the project will be able to share their teaching experience with colleagues from both domestic and international communities, and will have the opportunity to gain new knowledge through training on the application of digital technologies in teaching.

As a reminder, the prerequisite for participating in the project is the geographical location of the school, which must be in a rural area. A list of places classified as rural or belonging to NUTS 3 regions according to the national classification can be found in this table.

More information about the tender and the application form can be found on the official project website. Also, if you haven't had the opportunity to join us for the visionary workshops organized online, you can see recording.
