The existing CARNET hosting service for schools will soon be a thing of the past, and from April 17, 2023 is a new service ID card which unifies all functionalities with simpler administration and maintenance, as well as numerous possibilities for future upgrades. Users will be able to access and administer their data through a connected user portal CARNET info, a service that will be released into production in parallel with the CARNET ID system.
Due to data migration to a new system, which will start on April 11th and last until April 17th, 2023, there may be difficulties with the email service, and potentially with the admin application and CMS systems. We ask for users' understanding.
Administrative privileges will be mapped from the CARNET hosting service for schools to the CARNET ID system, whereby users will automatically receive the administrative rights they have had until now, and CARNET ID will be the sole system for assigning and managing infrastructure resources of CARNET institutions and users.
Due to the transition to new systems, some services will be temporarily unavailable:
- Activation of Office 365 and G Suite services will not be possible from April 7th to April 17th. Until now, activations of these services were done through the respective portals: aktivacija.skole.hr and office365.skole.hr. From April 7th, this will no longer be possible. Service activations will be enabled again on April 17th through a new self-care (CARNET info) portal at the following link: info.carnet.hr. Users who have already activated these services can still access them by logging into the o365 system via the page: portal.office.com.
- Access to CARNET webmail will no longer be possible via the old link (webmail.skole.hr) starting April 11th. From the specified date, access will be through the following link: mail.skole.hr
Please note, from April 17th, the old CARNET webmail interface will be replaced by the new Zimbra interface, which will become the primary mail client for users who do not use G Suite or Office 365 services. As before, users will still be able to forward their mail to electronic mailboxes in public services (Outlook or Gmail for skole.hr user accounts).
