CARNET has completed the implementation of the project within the Erasmus+ program “Strengthening capacities for developing accessible digital content” which lasted from June 1, 2017, to May 31, 2019. The project's key activity was learning mobility for individuals.
Within the project, four mobilities were carried out for CARNET employees, including two structured courses and two conference participations. These mobilities led to the development of new collaborations and partnerships at the European level, thereby gaining new insights in the area of accessible digital content and new tools specifically focused on users, people with disabilities, and parents. Familiarization with European standards, cooperation with European organizations, and their experiences contributed to the improvement of existing services and ensured their accessibility to the mentioned users.
Erasmus+ is the European Union's largest program in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport, aimed at fostering skills development, employability, and supporting the modernization of education, training, and youth systems. One of the three main objectives of the Erasmus+ program is to provide funding to individuals for learning opportunities abroad, either within or outside the EU. Erasmus+ offers international mobility opportunities for individuals and international cooperation for organizations, but interested individuals apply through their institutions.
