Webinar organized by CARNet on generic competencies as a requirement of modern education

The Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet is organizing a webinar titled „Generic Competencies as a Requirement of Modern Education.“ The webinar will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, starting at 1 PM, as part of the Erasmus + project „Assessment of Transversal Skills 2020 – ATS2020,“ in which CARNet participates as a partner.

The webinar participants will be presented with the topic by a member of the expert working group for the Comprehensive Curriculum Reform project, Dr. Zrinka Ristić Dedić from the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb.

Dr. sc. Zrinka Ristić Dedić will speak about the concept of competence, competence models worldwide, why this concept was introduced into educational policy and practice, and will explain the role of competences in the Holistic Curricular Reform.

No registration is required for the webinar, and all interested parties can participate. The webinar will be held via the Adobe Connect communication and collaboration tool at the address http://connect.carnet.hr/webinar/.To enter the virtual room, select the "Guest" option and enter your name.

This is the first of two webinars that will be held as part of the project Assessment of Transversal Skills 2020 – ATS2020. The second webinar, on the topic „Competence Assessment: Challenges and Opportunities,“ will be held on April 14, 2016, at 1:00 PM, and all interested parties will be informed of its content in due course.
