CARNET Classroom Management System (CMS)
Classroom Management System It is a device and learning management system in an interactive classroom. CMS is a term used to designate software tools aimed at managing interactive classrooms. Within the “e-Schools: Establishment of a System for Developing Digitally Mature Schools (pilot project)” project, a system for managing interactive classrooms has been developed to create digitally mature schools.
The system enables monitoring and directing work on student devices, creating and storing digital teaching content, sharing it with students, planning lessons, and managing student devices. The teacher has complete control over student devices (monitoring student work, screen sharing, blocking URLs or applications), as well as interaction with students (instant messaging, surveys, sharing student screens).
The system also allows for browsing teaching units of different subject areas on smart displays. Teachers can interactively control smart displays with touch functionality. The application contains a large number of auxiliary tools divided into different categories according to teaching processes, allowing teachers to present teaching units and their parts in a student-friendly and accessible way using this presentation tool. Auxiliary tools, graphs, and presentations shift the emphasis from theory to practical work.
The classroom of digitally mature schools is conceived as an interactive space where students will be more engaged in the teaching process than ever before. For students to be able to follow and participate in interactive teaching, they need devices with which they can engage in the teaching process, and teachers need to be enabled to gain insight into and monitor student work. The CMS allows for interactive teaching, including both sides of the lectern.
