State Matura

In the 2009/2010 school year, the state matriculation exam was conducted for the first time as well online applications for study via National University Admissions Information System.

Thanks to the State Matura and the NISpVU system, high school graduates are enabled to perform all actions related to enrollment in their desired higher education institutions within their own school – from expressing interest in selected studies, through taking State Matura exams (as a substitute for entrance exams), to the actual enrollment in higher education institutions in accordance with their success in the State Matura exams and their expressed interest in study programs.

The system enables students to quickly and directly view their results from the state matura exams, a detailed calculation of points for each registered study program according to the rules set by the higher education institutions themselves, as well as an insight into their rank on the lists for each of the study programs they have expressed interest in.

The project to establish the state matura system and online enrollment was initiated by the Ministry of Science, Education, and Sport, with the National Center for External Education Evaluation, the Agency for Science and Higher Education, and CARNET participating as partners. Within the project, CARNET's role was technical and user support, and it continues to provide technical support.
