eVET2edu - Vocational Teacher Training for ICT in Teaching
The goal of the eVET2Edu project was to offer assistance to teachers in vocational schools and other vocational education institutions in introducing dynamic, open, and innovative teaching methods by adapting already existing online The course for teachers of general subjects for the needs of vocational schools.
The course is based on innovative pedagogical methods (e.g. online collaboration, reflection, situated and collaborative learning, etc.) and uses a range of open-source tools. The project offered teachers and institutions knowledge that will enable them to integrate these pedagogical methods and tools into the new qualification framework and current teaching methods. The course was available in eight languages and was accompanied by detailed instructions for course facilitators.
The project was financed by the Leonardo da Vinci line (EU funds), started in October 2012, and lasted for 24 months. Existing online The course result is the outcome of the projects. e-Teacher LDV (2005-2007) I iCamp (6th FP 2006-2009).
