STO 2016: Student Competition

March 9, 2016.

Within the third student day of Contemporary Technologies in Education – STO 2016, which will be held on April 22, 2016, in Rijeka, organized by the Croatian Academic and Research Network CARNet, the Teacher Education Faculty, and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka, we are organizing Prize competition intended for students of teacher training programs, but also for other interested students. The goal of the competition is to encourage the application of information and communication technology (ICT) in education in a creative and innovative way.

As CARNet's mission is to popularize information and communication technologies in education, we invite all students to present how they would apply these technologies in their future work. It is necessary to demonstrate that they know how to use computers and other digital devices, but also that they want to be teachers of the new era! For the competition itself, you need to devise a teaching topic (or unit) in which you would work with students in an innovative way.

Therefore, to participate in the prize competition, students, future teachers, need to design a treatment of a teaching topic or unit using ICT and record a short video to present their idea.

See the contest rules here, a applications The competition is open until May 15th at 11:59 PM.
