Mirta Janeš and Jasminka Maravić Presentations on the topic „Digital Transformation of Educational Institutions – Experiences and Examples of Good Practice“ were held at CARNET.
They presented the concept of developing the digital maturity of educational institutions within the primary and secondary education system, which was developed and implemented as part of the national program „e-Schools: Comprehensive Computerization of School Business Processes and Teaching Processes to Create Digitally Mature Schools for the 21st Century,” carried out by CARNET and its partners from 2015 to 2023.
They particularly highlighted the role of principals of educational institutions in the digital transformation process, for whom a special framework of digital competencies was developed within the e-Schools project.
They also presented an educational program for the development of digital competencies of educational workers, given the key role of educational workers and the development of their digital competencies for the safe application of digital technologies in educational processes. They emphasized that the Educational Program, based on the European Framework for Digital Competences for Educators (DigCompEdu, 2017), offers various forms of education that are open to everyone and can be used without having an electronic identity in the AAI@EduHr system.
The panel that discussed the research results on educators' attitudes towards the use of ICT also included Dr. Klara Bilić Meštrić from CARNET she further explained what the digitalization process of educational institutions encompasses and presented the conclusions of CARNET's research conducted through the e-Schools project, as well as during the implementation of distance learning during the pandemic.
CARNET has undoubtedly contributed to this set with its rich experience in the digital transformation process of educational institutions, gained through the e-Schools project.
