This year's 7th edition of CRO-IGF will be held in Opatija, within the MIPRO conference, May 22, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
The Forum will feature two panels: Cybersecurity (NIS2) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Cybersecurity – The NIS2 Directive (“Directive (EU) 2021/305 on measures for a high common level of cybersecurity across the Union”) is the European Union's legislative framework concerning the security of network and information systems. The main objective of the NIS2 Directive is to enhance the security of networks and information systems in the EU by expanding and specifying the provisions of the original NIS Directive. The Cybersecurity Act, which transposed the NIS2 Directive into Croatian legislation, entered into force on February 15, 2024. Experts in this field will join us for a panel discussion, with an emphasis on the question – what awaits the entities subject to its application – the subjects themselves?
2. The AI Act is the first legal framework for artificial intelligence that, with its rules, will enable the reliable application of artificial intelligence in Europe in a way that its application will be based on rights, safety, and ethical principles. During the panel discussion, we will touch upon the latest developments in this field, as well as the risks and dilemmas associated with the application of artificial intelligence.
