The 11th RIPE South East Europe (SEE) Regional Meeting held in Split

April 6, 2023.

The 11th RIPE South East Europe (SEE) Regional Meeting, organized by the RIPE Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC) and the Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNET, was held on April 4th and 5th, 2023, in Split.

The meeting brought together more than 130 international participants, predominantly network engineers, and other technical staff who had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences and identify areas for regional cooperation.

As part of the meeting, CARNET’s network engineer Eldis Mujarić presented the Network eAcademy, an activity in which CARNET experts collaborate on the pan-European project GEANT.

The specific goal of the meeting is to encourage collaboration among operators from the region to facilitate the exchange of information and discussion on issues of common interest, as well as to provide additional support to local internet registries (LIR) in the region by RIPE NCC itself.

RIPE NCC, as a regional Internet registry, allocates and registers blocks of internet numbers to internet service providers (ISPs) and other organizations in our geographical region. These internet number resources are mainly in the form of IPv4 and IPv6 address space and Autonomous System Numbers (ASN).
