The first TeachMeet held within the e-Schools pilot project

25. May 2017.

On Thursday, 25 May 2017, the Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet held the first TeachMeet, a meeting of teachers actively participating in the community of practitioners which was organised as part of the implementation of the national e-Schools pilot project: Establishing a System for Developing Digitally Mature Schools

Teachers from primary and secondary schools from Križevci, Osijek, Split, Slavonski Brod, Varaždin, Vukovar, Pula and Zagreb presented to their colleagues through short presentations their own experiences in application of technology in teaching and exchanged ideas on how teaching can be additionally improve by technology. How to use Skype in teaching and what possibilities does it provide, how PhET applications can help students understand the physics course material, such as vibrations of waves or energy, and how applications like Kahoot and Quizlet can facilitate learning of the German language, are only some of the presentations held today within the CARNet’s TeachMeet.

TeachMeet is a dynamic and increasingly popular form of professional training organised in different parts of the world, in which participants use short, time-limited presentations to share their experiences or represent certain ideas.
