CARNet and Representatives of the .hr Domain Registry at DIDS and RIF 2016

Representatives of the Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet and the .hr Domain Register participated in the seventh annual conference on the internet, DIDS 2016 (Serbian: Dan internet domena Srbije, “Serbian Internet Domains Day,” DIDS), and in the second Regional Internet Forum – RIF 2016, held in Belgrade on March 15 and 16, 2016.

The Serbian Internet Domains Day was held under the slogan “Living the Internet... Globally – Securely – Locally” and was organized by the Serbian National Internet Domain Registry (Serbian: Registar nacionalnog internet domena Srbije, RNIDS) Foundation.

The RIF 2016 brought together representatives of national registrars from southeastern Europe, as well as representatives of state authorities, local internet community institutions, global internet organizations, and legal experts from the region. Topics covered at RIF 2016 included practical examples and the positions of regional experts on the multistakeholder model of internet management, the development of e-government in Serbia and the region, internet neutrality, legal regulations in this field, as well as internet safety.

The president of the RIF 2016 Programme Committee was CARNet employee Nataša Glavor.
