NATO Exercise “Cyber Coalition 2016”

The Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet and its National CERT Department actively participated in the largest and most complex annual NATO exercise for the protection of computer systems, entitled “Cyber Coalition 2016”.

The exercise, which lasted from 28 November to 2 December 2016, comprised 27 NATO members, numerous NATO partner countries as well as NATO and EU bodies. This year, Croatian partners from the industry and academic community participated in the implementation of the exercise. In order to overcome the complex technical challenges that occur as part of the resolution of computer incidents, the emphasis has been put on mutual communication and cooperation. The exercise was lead by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCD COE) in Tallinn, Estonia.
