CARNET meter

Measuring data transfer speed to and from the CARNET network can be done using the CARNET server within the Ookla Speedtest network of servers.

The results of data transfer rate measurement vary depending on:

• the number of users who use the network at the same time
• the type of user access network
• the load of the user’s computer
• the load of CARNET servers
• internet browser that is used. 

The measurement results are for personal use only and cannot be used for other purposes. 

For users who want to measure the data transfer speed from their computer to the CARNET network or vice versa, it is sufficient to go to https://www.speedtest.net/ with their internet browser, select the CARNET server, and start the measurement.
